customising start screen on TomTom?

just wondering if you can do this?

I found a folder with the image in.. could I use a another image in here for the device somehow?
thought I might put some car logo's in here, so when it fires up, or is idle has car make on it?
thought it would be quite cool to do this... I have heard of people 'hacking' in dash aftermarket ones to do similar

Yes, I've successfully changed the splash screen on all my TomToms to show my name and phone number.
Copy the file to a backup, edit it using Windows paint. Seeemples!

sorry mate, just seen this..
I tried saving a new one with same title but it didn't work, and it actually reloaded the original, even though I deleted it!!
it was in images folder? is there another folder obviously?
