Advice from anyone who might know - can I return a TomTom Go 6 bought 10 days ago, not because it's faulty but it's rubbish. The live traffic via my iPhone Bluetooth doesn't work more than it does, despite both machines saying they are connected, speaking an address for it to find is a complete joke (despite the fact I speak the Queens English with no accent), and routinely a planned route is interrupted by the voice control page coming up saying "I'm listening" and then refusing to understand the command "cancel".
I've had a TomTom Live 825 for a couple of years which was brilliant with its in built traffic, but this Go model is pants.
Do I have any legal right to return it as it does not do "what it says on the box" ?

You could try under the "not fit for purpose" line but I'm not sure how you'll get on.

Where did you buy it from?

If it's over the internet I think you have a period of 14 days to return it (Distance Selling Regulations) if you don't want it. Although I believe it has to be returned in a 'resellable' condition - i.e. all packaging intact etc.

If you got it from a shop, check the receipt, especially the printed blurb on the back - many shops allow you to return an item up to 28 days as part of their terms and conditions of sale.
