Can't find much on Google, so thought I'd ask here.

I need a sat nav that is capable of routing to several different addresses/postcodes.

Having not bought a system for many years, I wondered if such a thing was available now?

Cheers

All TomTom systems have been able to do this for years and I am currently using the smart phone based Waze which can also do this

Co-Pilot does this, put in all your addresses and it will even sort them into the most efficient route

TomTom, bined the itinerary feature a few versions back afaik.

I use Waze, how do you do multi destinations? As far as I know it does the destination and a stop off and that's it.

TomTom is offline but they haven't gotten rid of the 'travel via' option (or at least not on the iPhone version, I doubt they would get rid of it from the independent units). annoyingly it can't optimise the route if there are multiple destinations.

I think its a feature they have only added recently. Set your destination, then go to navigate to another destination and it prompts you to select 'new drive' or 'add a stop' its very basic at the moment but hopefully will get a few more features added to it

Co-Pilot works offline, it is a battery eater though, thats the only gripe I have with it.

The current Garmins allow a 'route' to be created and modified on the fly but don't have any smart sorting for multi drop drivers. They also work with PC application called Base camp to create routes or waypoints but I can't see a delivery driver doing that.

The human brain is quite fast at the 'travelling salesman' problem, in conjunction with a paper map and putting the sorted postcodes into the satnav.

It's only one additional address though, you can't do itinerary planning with many destinations as you could on old TomToms.

You will need to find old stock or pre-owned Tom Tom 540's .

Itinerary planning is the reason I have not upgraded my 540 to a newer version .

Just remembered my offline Nav does it.

It's not intuitive to do straight away but it is possible.

My garmin nuvi does it's the top of the range unit from last year. It also optimises the route.
