Novus Rider database - compatible options?

I daresay this has been covered before, but I acquired one of these units but discover that the promised lifetime database updates are a fiction because the manufacturer went out of business. Novus Auto will not or cannot help. Is there any way another database can be converted to work on these? PocketGPS World have an excellent database but it doesn't seem to support this device.
