importing a route from google maps?

I'm off with a few friends for a jaunt around Wales on Friday and my friend has prepared a route on google maps.
Is there any way to import this to the standard Amundsen sat nav in the Octavia?
I have seen a few threads where people have managed to get lists of points of interest like speec cams and national trust sites into the nav but nothing where people have strung together a route.
I tried to set the sat nav to go from home to home via ABCD etc but it only lets you do 1 waypoint.
Currently I'm looking at having to program in all 22 waypoints into the stored destinations and then just load up the next one once I have reached the current one.
Failing that I'm going to have to use my old Garmin portable sat nav that a route can be put into. it just seems a massive shame that the one occasion I actually need the sat nav I cant use the nice one built into the car.
I can get the route as a GPX file if that helps?
I have asked on Skoda forums but have had about 90 views but as yet no replies
