Hi,

I am looking to buy my first sat nav system. I have done some research online and i think tomtom is a best bet to go for.

I have found tomtom start 60 for around £60 used but it doesn't have speed camera updates and i will have to pay for 12 month subscription which is around £20.

tomtom go 500 is around £85 used and has free speed cameras information.

Can anyone please advise, which one should i buy. If there are any other better ones then please do recommend.

I've bought it on my phone. Always have it with me that way.

i would rather buy on iphonne i have bought copliot which is also good all maps stored offline and no data worries.

i thought of buying a sat nav but that cost put me me off

I would rather later buy a ipad or some tablet which has gps and i can have the copilot app installed and that should be like standalone sat nav

I going to buy the TomTom Go 5000.The one I've got now is the old TomTOM One.Still working ok maps outdated. It's a bit expensive the new 5000 about £160 at amazon. What I like is traffic updates and the layout a proper sat nav.
