From my understanding Waze is the creme de la creme when you add in the live updates and re routing in traffic. Since using it has simply trumped all sats navs i have used when it cones to finding the fastest route, live updates alerts etc.
My logic is that everyone has a phone, so natually more drivers will have waze and google maps installed for free due to convinience, so when it comes to community generated real time updates (traffic, car on road, police etc) no paid for sat nav can come close as they wont have as many users?
Waiting to hear an alternative argument as if there is a better solution i am all ears.

I cannot comment on Waze vs sat nav as I have never used Waze. Your logic that no sat nav will be as good as waze because it has less users seems a bit flawed as most dedicated sat navs get traffic data from other sources than user uploads.Waiting to hear an alternative argument as if there is a better solution i am all ears.
