I bought a TomTom Go600 on offer from Argos just over a year ago. The micro USB port has come loose inside.

Anyone had any experience of using any of the repair sites please as I'm a bit concerned about sending mine off to persons unknown.

I sent mine back to TomTom for repair as I had similar worries. Ok it wasnt the cheapest but they sent me back a brand new unit when I was expecting a repaired or refurbed one.

Unfortunately I took it to a local "Professional Repair Service" who rang me two hours after I dropped it off to say they had broken the screen trying to get it apart!rolleyes

Sounds like they owe you a TomTom.

As it was an already a damaged TomTom he has paid me a more than generous contribution towards the purchase of a new one of the same type. So I get a new one under warranty for essentially the cost of what I would have paid him to fix the old one.

The guy was a real gent about it. I wasn't expecting that!
