Dash Cam focuses on heated windscreen elements not road
Discussion
I would have thought that the vast majority - if not all - dashcams don't actually have autofocus (what's the point - they don't need to re-focus as the distance to the subject doesn't change), especially entry-level models.
Unless it has such a depth of field that the elements are in focus - in which case you might need to try a different dashcam - the DrivePro 200 has a decent glass lens that's f2.0 (smaller aperture gives better low-light performance and shallower depth-of-field) which might help.
You've probably got a bad one - the focus is set at time of manufacture (usually the front element screws around to adjust focus) - sometimes you can adjust this, often you can't unless you open the unit up.
Take it back and try another.
