Afternoon

So after watching a few of the shocking videos on the dashcam post in the general gassing section, I'm thinking it might be time to invest in one.

Now, I don't want to spend silly money on one and I've seen the Transcend 100 on amazon for just under £100.

However do any other ph'ers have any recommendations for a decent dash for less than £100?

Thanks

Can I hijack this thread a wee bit.....and ask for recommendations for a dash cam that also has a rear facing unit.....and can be hard wired so is able to "record" an incident if triggered by for example a shunt in a car park?.....again for under £100????

some of you out there can recommend something?

I've been using a Mobius for a while which has been good, but things have moveed on. I like the looks of the Mini 0806 if you get a good one. Small and well featured, and around £80. Fit one at the rear as well and you are good.

There's also the Koonlung K1S which has a separate control box with very small separate front/rear cams, and Techmoan has one of these fitted himsellf so it must be OK. However, it is over £200 and it is another screen to keep mounted to the dash - and it has 4 micro USB cables coming out of it, which are going to look awful and make a mess, and what a hassle if you remove it every time you get out of the car! IIRC Techmoan just left it in a door pocket which makes sense. For me a dashcam has to be fit and forget or it will never be running when you need it.

Hi,

Have a look at http://www.amazon.co.uk/OjoCam-Blacksys-CF-100-cha...
The blacksys CF 100 seems to tick your boxes. Its a dual unit and less than £100

I didn't buy one - I bought a more expensive unit as it did 1080p front & back, capacitor based etc (Thinkware F750) but its a lot more than £100.00

Regards
