Hi Guys,

I know this is a quiet part of the forum but thought I'd ask anyway before I have to sign up to a 'proper' car audio forum.

I know what I want, I just don't know if it exists!

What I'd like is a small Bluetooth module that is 12V powered that outputs the music from my phone to phono leads that I can connect to my stereo phono aux in connections on the back of the headunit.

As I've got a BMW there is 12V going directly into the glove box for the 'emergency' torch so I can get the juice from that line and hide the module behind the glove box.

This seems to be to me a very easy way to get BT connectivity for my oldish but perfectly serviceable HU.

Bonus points if the BT module also has a line in feature!

Does such a thing exist? It seems like it should be being smashed together in China somewhere but I don't really know what I'm looking for!

Cheers all

Adam

Plenty on ebay. Search for bluetooth receiver.

I have a cheap Chinese thing in the car - works great. I use this in the kitchen: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Electronics-Aukey-Portabl...

Even better!

I wanted the ability to stream music to the car audio but already have built in blue-tooth for phone only. I opted for a WiFi based option so I could sync to it for music but maintain using the cars bluetooth phone connectivity. (Can you connect to 2 separate blue-tooth devices simultaneously, 1 phone 1 music?)

This is similar device to the one I opted for which works but on Android only limited apps work with it so have to use an alternative (Allcast) to the Poweramp I normally use for music. I understand these devices work better with Apple devices and airplay.

Whilst only catering for a few models, there might be an option available here:

http://www.gtacarkits.com/

I found them whilst looking for a bluetooth addition for a Lexus RX400h (which unbelievably doesn't have bluetooth or an Aux in!)

The model that suits the RX handles both bluetooth streaming and has a cable input too.
