Solar CTEK equivalent?
Discussion
The track car currently lives in a garage hooked up to a CTEK battery conditioner, it does get a run every couple of weeks but having it plugged in helps my car OCD.
I'll be moving house shortly and the garage there doesn't have any mains power. I could probably get it installed but I was wondering about using solar power instead as it is literally just for a bit of lighting (low voltage LED would cover it easily) and conditioning the car battery.
I don't really want to fit a battery isolator as I want the alarm to be active plus it's keyless which makes it a bit more hassle if I just want to get into the car to grab something.
It might just be snake oil but I like the idea that the CTEK varies the voltage on the battery over time to keep it in good condition, but I can't find a solar charger setup that claims to do that. Am I just being paranoid? Any recommendations for a decent solar charger?
