Apple Car Play & Bluetooth Music Query

Hi all,

So I recently acquired a car that has an all singing all dancing infotainment system - a total first for me - and I'm loving it!

One thing has me stumped however - when the car connects to my iPhone (either via blue tooth or USB cable) it seems to always default to a random song from my iTunes library. It does this taking no account of what my last media choice was, or indeed what album or playlist I was actually listening to?

Has anyone else had this issue and know of any fixes? I've looked through the manual for the infotainment system but there doesn't appear to be a setting that jumps out as being able to set this, maybe it's a setting on the iPhone itself that I'm missing?

Car is a Suzuki Vitara S if that helps?

Song with a title beginning with A by any chance? Took me a while to figure it out, but on mine it defaults to the first track under 'Songs'.

Ah, as simple as it sounds I think that's it (doh!) - thanks! I blame the reason on the fact that I keep changing what albums I have on my iPhone so every time I plug in it's seeing a different track listing hence why it keeps picking a different song...

I'm impressed with the system so far but would like a bit more explanation from both Apple and the manufacturer's side. Maybe I'm just a bit behind the times but I think they're assuming I know what I'm doing!
