Is it worth upgrading car speakers?

If you want to sing One Direction on the motorway just turn it up a bit and save yourself the money
My secret shame is out Luckily my driving is all around town - and as this is Bristol that means mostly about 5mph - so luckily road noise isn't a huge issue for me!
And as my commute is the only time I get 5 mins of peace I actually don't mind spending a few quid for an appreciable difference. The dinky little alpine sub at £90 is sorely tempting I won't lie. I did find when I first put an aftermarket HU in all those years ago that I had to almost turn bass off completely to get a nice sound out of the speakers. A sub in the back (that isn't too lairy, as Alex puts it!) might be the answer. And at that price it's not much of a gamble at least!
