Anyone have experience of how well the DAB modules work with these Xtrons units or other similar Android headunits? How well integrated is the DAB into the software - i.e. is it a faff and slow to get working each journey? And is the signal as good as a factory unit or dropping out all the time (I know this will be dependent on aerial and region to some extent - but my experience is aftermarket DAB headunits being pretty poor at keeping the signal, compared to factory fit DAB, but my experience is quite a few years out of date, so hoping they have improved..?

would that it were so simple - no app is available as only defaults to downloaded files and there are none embedded in the unit that i can find.

I have downloaded google maps but its slow and clunky

Bit of a late reply but…they’re crap, sorry. The DAB signal on the one I’ve fitted to my 75 is horrendous.

Hello Xtrons, which model is this on your German store?
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B089CHRH8X/ref=cm_sw_r...
I ask because a search for PX6 doesn't seem to give me anything in German.

I have a Xtrons unit in my Astra SRI, and have not been happy with the sound quality.
Well lack of any sound quality really. It was really rubbish when turning up loud with the sound going all distorted with no real bass to speak off.

A few days ago i removed it from the car and took the unit apart to study it (Im an electronics engineer).
It uses a ST TDA7388 which is a Class AB 4x 45watt amplifier module, giving approx 23 watts RMS per channel.

What immediately struck me in the design was there was a severe lacking in the power supply to this MOSFET module. So essentially at high volume there was not enough current to supply, leading to distortion.

I fitted two 3300uF 25V Nichicon audio grade capacitors in Parallel to the bus-bar feeding the Flexiwatt25 package.

Refitted and holey cow what a difference. There is now no distortion at all when turning up very loud and it now gives very good bass response. Something it never had before.
So £4 in some high quality caps and it has transformed my Xtrons unit. Would highly recommend this to anyone using these.

Hi I have just bought a 2007 Bentley Continental GT which does not seem to be Bluetooth connectable to my Samsung S21 mobile phone, it has the usual sat-nav, CD player and also a phone in the armrest from the stone age, I have been advised to either buy a piece of equipment called "The Grom" which apparently is a Bluetooth add on that will enable my existing equipment to function with the standard OEM kit installed or change the head unit for an aftermarket one with Bluetooth installed, I just want to be able to use my phone hands free without doing any major surgery at a reasonable price, I am pretty much in the dark with all this so if anyone is available to sort this out for me at a reasonable price please let me know also any other advice on the easiest and straightforward way to go about this would be very helpful, I am located in Medway Kent UK Many thanks Chris
