Hi I have a modern (2019) sports car which is occasionally setting off the alarm for apparently no reason. Does anyone know if these events are stored in the cars memory for future analysis ?

Depends on the car i would imagine , some will identify what triggered the alarm that can help pinpoint false alarms

You should be able to check OBD2 port for what caused the alarm on most modern cars - ie which sensor, door switch, voltage drop etc.

On many newer cars one of the biggest problems is the failure of the battery in the battery backup siren.
