Garmin Nuvi 250 Widescreen

Right - just had a look at the Nuvi's map of Bulgaria.
It seems that Bansko isn't listed, but Razlog is, which seems to be very close by, so there's one option for navigating.
However, the road info outside Sofia is very sparse, so I guess it would take you a very round-about route to get there.
A better bet might be to navigate to Sandansy (which is on the map), as that ought to force the GPS to find a route via the E79 (also labelled as "1" in the Nuvi, which I guess is a local road number as opposed to the "Euro" E classification) and then turn off when you get close to Bansko / Razlog.

I'd try the airport to Bansko route to see if it even knows where Bansko is first
Failing that, I guess the best bet would be to use a paper map (shudder!) to find the nearest town to Bansko on a major road and route to there, hoping to pick up local signs once you get close.
Thats the other problem - where doyou buy good road maps of Bulgaria (which have the town names in English? - as they have greek & Russian symbols in the language and often its impossible to take an educated guess at the translation.)Failing that, I guess the best bet would be to use a paper map (shudder!) to find the nearest town to Bansko on a major road and route to there, hoping to pick up local signs once you get close.
Click the union flag in the top right corner, it will also work out routes for you.
I'm in Bulgaria, Razdel in the SE, with a Garmin Nuvi. I've just tried entering 'Bansko' but it doesn't even recognise the town name. I can't find map updates online, but the same model is available in the technopolis supermarkets over here with full street maps of BG!
Cheers
Keith
