Becker Sat Nav for Bikes
Discussion
Has anyone seen/used Beckers new waterproof Sat Nav?
I saw an article in German press about it, but was in German and whilst I can get the idea of what the article means, technical German is not the easiest thing to understand.
Said it would be under 300 euro and glove friendly.
I have been onto their site and it looks OK, but i ahven't found an independent test in English.
Anyone used Becker's in the past, experience of what the interface, mapping is like in comparison to TomTom or Garmin?
Thanks

The TomTom Rider Series 2 is no more than £300 which is not bad for a more rugged bike friendly unit.
The Garmin Zumo 500 is around £ 270 inc VAT
How much do you want to spend realistically?
The Becker Z100 Crocodile (4.5" screen) is their rugged bike friendly unit and can be found for around £ 250 inc VAT.

Blimey. those prices are way different to what I have seen here.
Garmin and Rider2 close to 600 euro.
The Becker was (in the article) being suggested at 300 euro.
For something that I'd use irregularly - cars have factory systems in them - I wasn't going to go for the 600 euro option.
Guess next visit to the UK might be the time to buy one.
It did put me off that the Becker is discribed as having an attractive crocodile design on the web page???

Jump onto www.activegps.co.uk and have a good look at each unit. Decent pricing too from these guys.
