Whats the difference between the 2?
Want to replace my useless LG nav and want one with european maps in.
I understand the x40 series are out soon, hopefully this will make these a bit cheaper?? Dont want to spend £230 then see them discounted in a months time!

Also how good is the traffic function and what does it do? Might sound a silly question but is it worth having?

I understand that the hardware is the same, the difference is in the software. The X30 range adds 'IQ routes' and 'Advanced Lane Guidance' - you can get the details from the TT website. I also understand that if you upgrade the X20 range to the latest application software (free) and maps (presumably for a fee, not sure how this relates to 'latest map guarantee', which is normally offered with TT's) you get these features - I was told this by TT technical support, but cannot vouch for it.

As to Traffic, I have only tried the free TMC Traffic which gets traffic info from radio. You have to use an aerial which is untidy in the car, reception is not very good, and the info is not that reliable. There is a paying traffic service using a Bluetooth connection to a data enabled phone which is supposed to be much better.

If you can get it to work with your mobile phone - I can use my 730T BT connection to make and receive calls (and it works great) but the data connection just won't work........

The free traffic service is OK - not great - but you make a good point re the messy cables.

All said though, I'm very pleased with my 730T
