I'm just after a little bit of advice..

I'm going to be getting a SatNav soon, and would like one that tells me where the traffic cameras are too.

I've got a budget of about £200-£230.

What would people recommend?

Many thanks.

you could look at the new TomTom 540 Live, now has road angel camera database, live map up dates and lots of other features.

more info can be found here:

I didn't know TomTom did the speed cameras?

That one is abit out of my budget, but thankyou.

What about this one.. Does anyone know if it's any good?

No, it isn't.

Seriously - Save up the extra £60 for a TomTom 540 Live. Not only that but you get £30 back in fuel by using the TomTom Free Fuel Promotion.

Costs £7.99/month subscription but you get live Road Angel speed cams (with the same functionality as the RA Pro Connected), live HD traffic, live petrol price information, google local search, live weather info etc...

It's also the only sat nav that is usable as a hands free phone kit as the speaker is so much louder than anything else on the market.

Don't buy the RA 9000, you will cry. They're crap!

540Live is £262, for £99 a TomTom One will give you camera alerts. Ive just ordered one as my next company car has no nav smile

I was set on getting the RA9000, thanks for the heads up wink

So the TT540 Live, that does the same as the RA9000? I can still get the speed cameras updated live, so if their the mobile ones they'll still show up?

Yes, but you won't end up wanting to punt it out of the window when it comes to typing in a destination!

That'll be good then :P

So the TT 540 Live sounds best, just have to save the extra £60 then.

Cheers everyone.

One last thing, how does it update it's self? Satillite?

3G/GSM mobile phone. It has a SIM card integrated into the unit (you can't remove it) and this is how it does it's 2-way comms. The subscription fee you pay covers its use.

You still have to link it to a bluetooth mobile phone if you want to use hands free calling though.
