Quite crude but effective for all that. Clumsy entrance of address and doesn't have full post code. Pleasant no robotic voice directions
The antenna needs to be able to see the sky but can be tucked at the front of the dash.
Head unit is good looking especially in Porsche 993

Well, I'll soon find out because I've just ordered one. I like the appeal of sat nav, ipod compatibility (with the lead that I ordered) and Bluetooth.

I have a Becker unit in my car and although not the most user friendly it looks beautiful works very well and has all of the right bells and whistles. Who needs flashy graphics etc...keep it OEM looking and enjoy driving / usic not wonderful 3-D images!

I had it installed in my SL yesterday. It looks great and feels like a very high quality piece of kit. Haven't used it a lot but so far I am really impressed with it. I was heartily fed up with having to pull out a Tom Tom and sticking it to the windscreen and it leaving the resultant mess on the screen afterwards.

Becker units are very under rated by those who know little about design, user appeal and keeping it simple. They may be somewhat left field and old school but quality does not come cheap and in ten years the sound and graphics etc will be as good as new when newer units have long since failed.

A top purchase.
