TomTom One v4 or v5? (is IQ Route worth the extra?)
Discussion
I'm finally planning to upgrade my old sat nav (Garmin i3) and was all set to buy a TomTom One v4 European mapping. There's good deals around at the moment including free European breakdown assistance, which I also need...
But, I've noticed that TomTom are bringing out a v5 version of the TomTom One, which adds "IQ Routes" and "Advanced Lane Guidance" (explained here). Is it worth having the IQ Routes and Advanced Lane Guidance? Reading through the sales pitch, the IQ Routes sounds good in theory but I wondered if it actually works well and thus worth spending the extra on it. TBH if I'm somewhere I don't know and am using sat nav, I'm rarely in a rush to get there (i.e. usually on holiday or not in a hurry), hence I don't know if it'd be useful or not.
I've found the v4 European for around £115 (inc the free European breakdown assistance) but a v5 will be around £170 (with NO free European breakdown cover).
Worth it or not?
Cheers

I cannot comment on your specific question.
One point about these models which may or may not be of concern to you. Unlike the more expensive TT models, I do not think they allow you to plan an itinerary round several waypoints, which is an important feature for some of us out for recreational drives.
