I frequently do a 200 mile journey in my Escort van and have a new (Christmas) TomTom One and every so often will just drop off the screen, even when it feels firmly stuck and time of applying. Have tried cleaning the glass and different 'licking methods' but still to no avail!

Anyone else have this problem? Is there a technique to it?

Oh and by the way, the old family One never fell off in my car so it's not me!

mine needs to have the suction cup adorned with a licked finger to make it stick for any length of time.

Does your windscreen curve a bit too steep for it at the edges?

I always give it the licked finger treatment, which is why I'm so confused! Don't think the windscreen is too steep - it's an old Escort! I'm starting to think it's the vibration of the whole thing at speed that's gradually loosening it off...

Yes my TT1 does this too! There must be a trick to attaching it correctly?

Anyone?

I screwed my garmin to the dash, it will never fall off again.

My garmin came with one of these, they may be of help

Not sure if it would help to stick one to the screen and then the suction mount to that

Mines exactly the same, makes you jump like hell when you're cruising along a motorway and it just falls off. I found that having the bottom of the cable (Where the cable does a 90 degree turn) resting on the dash solved the problem to some extent, though it does still fall off every now and then.

Brodit Proclip will be your friend here. With that, your TT will not be going anywhere...
