Improving driving skills

I'm sorry but driving around Scottish highland roads has made you a worse driver? i'm not sure that's possible or you would have crashed surely!

I've been lucky to drive up north so often, certainly hasn't done any harm! Even the A9 has it's benefits, it is a master class in (mostly terrible) overtaking! My urban driving is decidedly mediocre though.
