PistonHeads Driving Day - Shaftesbury, Saturday 10th August
Discussion
That's fine James - I'll be asking all participants if there's anyone in particular they'd like to be paired with. In fact, it's probably time to start asking for confirmations so I can give more precise numbers to the pub.
With PH-types and participants from two other forums, we could have up to 28 attendees on this event.
So, if you've expressed an interest in attending, could you please let me have (via PM or a reply on the thread) answers to the following:
1: Are you able to attend or not?
2: If coming, do you want breakfast (arrive 8.30-9am) or not (arrive for 9.30 start)?
3: Where you're currently at with your driving, or current qualifications if relevant.
4: If there's anything specific that you'd like to get from the day. For example - just to learn more / IAM-type assessment / drive with a specific person etc.
5: Finally - how many seats in the car you'll be bringing?

Do you mind if we drive together Ben? We might have a fair amount in common.
Hope that's ok with you too Tony.
You have warning lights on your dash too? Hurrah! Im not the only one! Hope that's ok with you too Tony.
I kid, of course. And yes, i have no preference as to who i drive with. As long as they dont smell. (do you?)
Edited to add: id love to know what an mr2 is like to ride in. Ive never been in one and they look really tempting.

Warning lights? My car was designed before they became fashionable I kid, of course. And yes, i have no preference as to who i drive with. As long as they dont smell. (do you?)

I was going to suggest sharing the driving in the Mister Two, then I looked in your garage (the one on PH before this sounds too creepy) and decided I'd rather have a ride in that Jaaag!

I wouldnt drive other people's cars anyway. Partly because im not insured. Partly because id hate to crash someone elses pride and joy. Partly because i wouldnt want them driving mine. My Jag is a good laugh. The only thing that moves quicker is the fuel gauge (i kid of course, there are many quicker cars)
1. Confirmed.
2. No breakfast thank you, good coffee will be most welcome. Likely want something lunchtime though.
3. Zero qualifications and 30+ years bad habits.
4. Looking to improve safety and properly implement Roadcraft & Mind Driving - comments, tips and tuition welcome.
5. GT86 - realistically only two seater. Any rear seat passenger must be small and/or flexible.
