Dave Turner of Cadence Driver Development is your man. He posts on PH as StressedDave. Great driver & (more importantly) a great coach.

James (who isn't on commission but is a satisfied recent customer)

Christ, its a small world... I have a very sneaky suspicion that I work with Rob on a regular basis in another field.

Didn't know Dave was an advanced driving instructor as well as a structural engineer.

I have my moments... I do one to pay the bills and the other for fun. Guess which is which.

why not simply go to the local IAM or ROSPA group?

Being coached by a paid professional rather than a keen amateur? Pragmatism? Permission to overlap brakes and gearchange and not use pull-push steering?

I could go on...

My group does not do that and from what I know Cambridge does not either

I'd take advanced instruction from Dave in a heartbeat if I lived near Cambridge. He's a top instructor thumbup

Whatever the pros and cons of the IAM and RoSPA, they won't have professional instructors in Dave's league. I speak from personal experience of Dave as a driver and co-driver.

Dave, where abouts in CAmbs are you based?

I've been considering finding some advanced driver training as well, but haven't had any recommendations and never got round to asking on here.

Thanks

Tim

Right on the border in St Neots... Easy access from A1, A14, A428, M11 and less than a mile from the start of the National Speed Limit roads.
