steel framed bikes will set the induction loops off
Varies: I've commuted daily on steel-framed bikes and on carbon/alu combinations. The lights on the old (pre-tunnel) A3 at Haslemere simply wouldn't respond to bicycles at all, so I had either judge my moment and launch across the junction on red or get off and walk - given that I was wearing cleated cycling shoes, the former was in fact safer. Most London lights seemed to be OK though.

It's stunning driving but apart from sounding superb why do it even on track?
All sorts of reasons, but having the option to vary drive and braking effort gives you more options to manage weight transfer, particularly on corner entry and particularly in a 911, where - when making progress - trail braking not just to but through turn-in actually helps balance the car and kills a 911's initial understeer, at least if you're running road geo. Which of course means a deal of BGOL, something I have no problem with when it's suited to the vehicle and to the conditions.
