Are radical changes afoot in the IAM?

I heard that big changes are afoot with the IAM: the possibility of a modular route to IAM membership instead of having to take an advanced test, but recognition for anyone who voluntarily retests every three years. New branding or a name change. And more besides. How much of this is true?
There's certainly a raft of new ideas coming, but I don't think I can share anything until the official launch next month.
It's no secret that the new Chief Executive has set herself the task of making what the IAM does more relevant to more people, and this could mean new categories of membership that don't require the traditional test route. I'd guess the option of regular retesting for existing members (if that is what happens) will help to balance the inevitable accusations of dumbing down.
