Interesting.

I do something similar in that when I need 3rd exit at a roundabout (or anything more than straight on) I drive around it counterclockwise when it's clear to do so. It saves both fuel and distance!

That is interesting.

My suggestion for saving millions of unnecessary miles driven by delivery drivers; a legal requirement to put your house number clearly visible on your door (or front electric gates for the powerfully built PH types biggrin ).

Important for safety should you require an ambulance too.

I happen to think this is a good idea. I live adjacent to a busy single lane NSL A-road which carries considerable risks particularity in turning right off it where there is no central refuge. A colleague of mine comes in on this road every morning and would occasionally spot a new car entering a local industrial estate to the right each morning. Typically within a fortnight the car would be on the verge having been rear ended and after that the owner will use a different route. If I have to turn right onto this I always take a 1/4 mile detour to allow me to do it from a roundabout.

I'm pretty sure this came up in my IAM, that if you're lost, or miss a turning it's preferable to 'go round the block' by going left, left, left back to the road you're on, rather than right, right, right.

I also seem to recall that UPS drivers have the lowest accident rate of all the delivery companies, so they must be doing something right?!

So, we make every junction in the UK "no right turn?"

Almost certainly. Unless it's not silly
