"The British class-one police driver and motorcycle rider has long been regarded as having the most advanced level of driving and riding skills in the world"….."a level in road skills that others can only hope to aspire to"….."to drive or ride to this level is an art form in itself, and has to be experienced to be truly appreciated."

A rather disappointing reply to what appeared to be honest criticism.
Well you've certainly done yourself no favours with that reply. The personal insults were quite simply uncalled for. Shame, it all started so well.

Jonnogibbo, I don't know what other correspondence you've had from Julian but on the face of what I've read I don't think his comments were unreasonable.

I am genuinely sorry, but was annoyed by the aggresssive and personal comments that Julian plastered on my guest book. Maybe we should draw this topic to a close?

I'm not an arrogant man Julian, and find that the wonderful thing about driving is that you can never know it all, and constantly learn new tricks from the wonderful portfolio of driving disciplines
I am always saying that the truly brilliant driver is the one who accepts that no matter how much they learn, or how much experience they gain, there is always more.

That aside, I am disappointed that you have taken what I have to say in such a negative manner. I was not questioning your driving skill, but merely offering some well intentioned advice concerning the effect of what you published may have upon certain sectors of your audience.

This has been deleted now, so it is history, but if you put information out in the public domain, and do so with all the appearance of being an authority on the subject matter, if what you say is deemed by those who read it as being inappropriate, then the reader has as much of a right to have their say as the author. We live in a country where we have freedom of speech and I was exercising that privilege. However, no one will have a credible point of view if they just lay into someone with arms and legs flying all over the place and I was not doing that. I believe I was being constructive when presenting my argument, and I certainly have nothing to gain by trying to drag you through the mud, which I have not done at any time, as I believe you have actually got a lot to offer. I do not wish to prolong this discussion, as clearly it has run its course, but in closing, please take what I have said as advice and not as an insult.

All the best,

Jules
