That was more or less what I did, passed the driving test just before 18 and took my IAM about a year or so later which was good as I hadn't got into to many bad habits....unlike now. I still do the occasional spoken observation as I drive along to remind me how much I am missing out on normally irked

yes Amazing how easily we 'switch off' isn't it? I've had a couple of incidents lately which have made me realize I'm getting slack.

Did my IAM in the early 90's... Was so hard to drive at 30mph without annoying other motorists as I was not in a learner car.

What you should also get him (the secret of us old punters) is a cardigan...part of the IAM image...we should get them supplied!
