I just don't see what's so special about any members of a private driving club being involved in a collision or getting stopped for speeding. I wouldn't expect them to come on PH to announce those things had happened.

Fair point, but these things are not even discussed in any great detail on the [closed] HPC fora.

How on earth are we going to make changes to improve matters if there is this concerted effort to get people to -to coin a phrase already used this evening - STFU.

Putting HPC members on a driving pedestal is just daft if you aren't going to have a proper way of dealing with them if they happen to fall off.
