I'm fitting a 24v cossy to my S and have modified the suspension and brakes to suit - also full MSA compliant rollcage / harnesses etc.. I intend using the car for motorsport and on the road occasionaly. I'm about to start looking at insurance and rather than waste lots of time talking to companies that think mods are a no no I would like to find out where others have found success at a reasonable cost. The insurance for the motorsport is the easy part as most (all) events have access to on event insurance. It is the road insurance I'm interested in.

In the past I'd have agreed wholeheartedly with this....although I've just started to discuss an agreed valuation and I sense things are going to go northwards plus a mandatory tracker frown

Got track cover from REIS for the LM Classic this year.

Totally impressed with their service. No nonsence - exactly what it said on the can.
They advertise regularly in the BARC magazine, so feel they are in for the long haul.

I am thinking of modifying and RH Insurance wanted to know how much more power rather than how it was achieved. If I had led with the how, rather than the how much power, they might have given a different answer but it looks like £1 per extra bhp with what I was thinking about.

Thinking about my insurance last year I reckon you may be right on this (regardless of what you lead on) - they should say this up front as it would have saved a lot of time on the phone!
