so some one tell me whats good and bad about them .
ive had 2 v70 s and still have a 850 t5 that is painted matt black with a A-Team stripe on it that i use for a banger rally to benidorm , that has 240k miles on it and still drives great , im sort of hoping the xc90 will be as reliable scratchchin

Does the 4wd actually work?

Im pretty sure the biggest problem on these is that a lot of them are 2wd due to a weak/poorly designed gear on the rear-diff.

You might want to check that! smile

It's worth checking the wheel alignment as it can get knocked out easily.

Other than that mines be totally reliable.

Our D5 XC90 has done around 110k now. Over the last 6/7 years the only unexpected issues have been a replacement inter-cooler, erratic parking sensors, and worn engine mounts.

I think that the biggest issue to look out for on yours, is the gearbox. If it is the 4 speed one, then these have a fairly poor reputation for reliability.
