Cool - look forward to them. I need to come up with some ideas, ready for when/if I get this project going. Although I need to buy a new house first lol.

Got shot of the buckets, and fitted some originals.

That looks very nice.

Out of interest, what bucket seats did you replace and how were they fitted? Were they mounted on the original sub-frames?

I only ask as I have fitted Cobra Daytona seats in to the front of my Amazon and I’m curious about different mounting/fitting methods. When I got my car it had poverty spec grey seats from an early Micra fitted as the previous owner had a bad back. Not a good look so they had to go!

Fortunately they used the original lower frames and adapted them.

Hmm, rotated for some reason, oh well.

Thanks for the reply.

Your vinyl seats are certainly an improvement!

It's fantastic! Obviously not quite the S60 D5 I used to drive in terms of waft but such a great car for the money nowadays. This one comes with the winter pack, electric seats, 7 speaker sound system so is not a million miles off my old S60 and chomps through the miles very well... and it destroys the S60 when it comes to the boot.

I've had it for just over 2 weeks and have done 2,500 miles (a couple of driving holidays in that time) and it's been great, better than I'd expected.

Nope.
Both have been great through the flood water.

Cheeky day off work to have the broadband installed. So while waiting around for the engineers to turn up... (which one still hasn't yet!) I thought I'd take the opportunity to prime Optimus with a 3 stage mop and polish.

Managed to get the rinse, wash, dry and polish done before the first lot of rain.

In I went for a cuppa.

Sun came out again so back out to dry the car for a 2nd time. Then got the poor boys black hole on and did the trims before... you guessed it! it rained again.

At that point about 11:30am I went in for brunch.

Brunch done and the sun back again, out it was to dry the car down for the 3rd time. In between a few spots managed to get some high gloss sealant on and a good coat of poor boys nattys blue wax. To finish a good hoover inside and some glass polish.

6 hours work and it's raining again!!!!! Bloody weather....
