£4000 in 3 years on a 209500 mile ex-plod car smile My missus has given up moaning and just demands I don't spend out on any more big modifications. Although, there's a lot of things I can slip under the radar as a "service" part wink

Still a good bit of water around out here...you can see how much it has gone down as blue feeder barrel was almost covered on Monday (it is there to highlight a hidden "pothole" yikes )

XC90 is loving it

Rich, check back a few pages for Martin's tip about blacking up the plastic bumper trim as well.

Then a few more pics please once the wheels are on.

Haha yes! I need to sort that too. I know about the heatgun/hair dryer thing but I'll have a look back thanks smile

I'll get the pics of the interior and when the wheels are on as soon as thumbup
To save you looking back you need some liquid shoe polish with a foam applicator on the end.

You can get it from anywhere really but I got mine from the poundland, for, you guessed it!

Clean the car as normal, once dry, go over the car with the shoe polish, let it soak in for a while them hit it with some trim restorer.

Jobs a good'en.

New to Volvo ownership, I bought this for comfortable motorway cruising after my trusty Passat developed a rumbly bearing in its gearbox. I was reading about the merits of the S60 from Y2Blade and it certainly lives up to it thumbup

It has FSH and covered 96000 miles, the seats and stereo system are superb and the D5 is a superb Diesel engine, so much more refined and characterful than my old PD 130.

Indeed! It looks like she didn't notice anything apart from the acceleration which was "surprising"! Even though I've had the car for two years this was only the second time she's driven it. It's got quite a bit more power than her car but I presume she wasn't expecting the turbo...

My missus is fine until about 3krpm when it gets a bit "lively". She still gets caught out since the remap.

2nd gear on the LK gearbox is a bit savage with 280 bhp behind it biggrin

Brilliant tip, thanks for letting me know about it, it's worked a treat!

Finally got the Volans on as well so it's coming along nicely, I've not done the Odometer yet though, I'll get round to it eventually. Shameless photo-whoring below...

Rich, that looks fantastic mate, really great.

Amazing the difference the rims & black trim make.

Great stuff fella. Very envious.

Looks spanking that mate, Red ones always look great when they've had a good going-over.

Top tip No.2... Meguires Endurance Tyre Gel... Do the tyres with the gel on a sponge, then wipe all the plastic trims with the same sponge afterwards. Keeps everything looking fresh smile
