I did indeed and have thoroughly enjoyed every moment, thank you very much. smile

The car's still going strong, though it has worked hard for a living and I'm not sure you'd be impressed with the state of the beautiful blue leather seats.... the bodywork and everything else is still in excellent condition though. Never a murmur from the engine.

Sometimes I think I should replace it with something that isn't quite as heavy on petrol, the average consumption for life always hovers around 20 but it is quite a special car, just a joy to drive.

Good to hear from you, hope all is well.

Some of my old R's . Loved all of them.

850 we still have, along with a scrappy looking T5.

Hi guys, I am new to Volvo ownership and the first 3 weeks have been a delight (apart from the fuel costs)

I bought myself a very tidy 1995 850 T5. The pics are the same as I have posted in the readers car section
I am looking to do a few light mods, probably a strut brace, larger brake disc upgrade and possibly a slightly more throaty sounding exhaust.

Glad to hear it's going well Mike, we still miss the R....usually when going for an overtake and wishing we had an extra 150bhp!

Like the xc90. Are they Volvo wheels or some other make. Look like some I have seen on a V70

They are Volvo wheels Paddy. I think they are just to be found on the R-Design models. Described as "Diamond Cut" wheels apparently.

There's a similar design to be found on the XC60, but smaller. Those on mine are 20 inch I think. Big buggers.

Is that one of the 'run out' models, or are they not selling them in the UK?

Looks good BTW smile
Thank you.

Not entirely sure about the first part of the question TBH, but they (that variant) seem to be fairly readily available from the dealer network.

We looked at quite a few from North London, Watford, MK and found this one at Reading.

Not many around in that colour / combo though from our experience. Caspian blue R-Design. Most seem to be black or silver.

Mrs. PP is more then happy with it.
