Great car for the summer. Bought for a shade over £2k, everything works, 100k miles with 6 months tax and mot. Number plate has been valued at £500.

In other news... My bloody OS headlight wiper arms jammed in the 12oclock position.... rather annoying to say the least!

Bought one of the most indestructible cars in the world... Can't see an issue.

Did you see the bloke in the Crash Thread that flipped his 850 T5 twice and walked away with only a slight graze to the nogging!

Looks good D.

Desperate for a detail and wheel refurb.. You'll probably see the front left is a bit dull, looks like someone has attempted a diy job on it.!

Love the car though.

So, the man maths. We took our V50 to see about getting the wheels refurbed / straightened. After we had booked it in for the following week, went past the Volvo dealers. Said I was sick of bouncing through 3rd world craters in the roads, which meant that the maths went tits and we bought this instead ! Daughter says me and wife are 'very dangerous' going shopping.

Fat tyres are a win. Its a wafter, rather than anything else. Its the D5 R Design with everything thrown on it by the previous owner. Going to the Scottish borders for its first decent run on holiday on Monday. Mpg is a bit meh, but its big, wafty, auto and damn comfy. Photo was after I cleaned it, as the 'chimp with the chamois' at the dealers , gladly couldn't manage to do even a reasonable job.

Crikey! That sounds just like my dad. He took his V50 because the wheels were flaking and came out with a brand new V70...

Which I think is his ninth Volvo. Thereabouts anyway. smile
