I'm a greedy bugger so can I say both?

Mind you, both are better home made.

All well with you?

Cheers Pixel Pusher. I do really like them. Saw them on a V70 as well in a dealer the other day. Prefer them to mine, cant afford to change though.
20" is a bit big! Mine are only 18"

Indeed they are quite a size.

Should be "fun" when it comes to getting new boots.

laugh

ETA, Even to me that sounded big so I checked.

They're actually 19s.

Apologies. Design is called Ixion.

Probably one of the best cars I've ever owned, and I have had lots and lots.

1992 Volvo 940 Turbo SE, 4sp M46 gearbox with overdrive, previously owned by a funeral company as a 'fast body mover'. Guy who bought it from them chopped the springs and fitted a massive cone filter, it now has a manual boost controller and is so much fun in the wet it should probably be banned.

Sits unloved on the streets of London for months at a time and never fails to start under its own power.

Possibly a genuine keeper.

Some nice cars here smile Long time lurker, haven't posts for a while if at all! I've just picked up my new (to me) v50 1.6d drive se lux as a mile muncher. She came well specced with heated leather, winter pack, blis, 6cd changer high performance sound, the roof/bike racks etc. Only had her a day but love her already, such a comfortable car.

And the new one:

V40 D2 (Company car)

Just bought an identical car, pick it up early July. What spec is it and how you finding it?
D2 SE
Passion Red
18s
Winter Pack
Premium Stereo
Active TFT
Sports Chassis
DAB
Split Boot
Illuminated knob

Wish I'd gone for the led drls and xenons.

I'm really enjoying it so far, had a few software niggles that have all been rectified and the boot wouldn't unlock which volvo sorted easily.

Getting 60.1 mpg and have covered 12,000 miles since September

Few niggles that i have are the washer jets and wipers are rubbish, it's a bit noisy on the 18s on anything but smooth tarmac and the doors don't unlock when you get out causing me to walk up to the rear doors a forget that they are locked (this can't be coded out).

Ah, 18's AND sport suspension, that'll certainly make it noisier. I would have been quite happy with 16's but the SE Lux pack has the 17's as standard.

We are hopefully going to order an MY14 XC60 this week.

Havent decided whether itll be a D4 or a D5 or fwd/AWD. Will probably end up with a D4 fwd as its all we will need for road work, and with winter tyres they are just as good as the AWD versions. A cheeky polestar remap will take the D4 from 163bhp up to 200ish as well.

Spec as follows:

SUMMUM PACKAGE (called SE LUX in the UK)

800084 18” to 20” AVIOR WHEEL UPGRADE
255/45/20

498 CASPIAN BLUE METALLIC

DIP DIPLOMAT PACKAGE
Textile floor mats
Power tailgate
Tinted rear windows
Laminated glass side and rear
PCC & keyless drive
Park assist front

XP XENIUM PACKAGE
Power passenger seat
Power glass sunroof
RTI Navigation
Park assist camera
Audio system HIGH PERFORMANCE

G116 LEATHER INTERIOR
Soft beige / espresso

000817 BEIGE STEERING WHEEL

000365 DISPLAY ENGLISH

000273 PARKING HEATER

NLLEVE NL ALARM ADJUST

000262 SUB WOOFER

000833 TV

000860 REMOTE CONTROL
And the fate of the V70 is???

In all likelyhood off to eBay with it, and try to claw back as much as possible.

I'd hope for £1500 - seems reasonable/realistic for a slightly rough around the edges facelift D5.
I bet that sells all day long

My fifth Volvo....

I've had a 1995 855 Manual T5 which I spent a fortune modifying, then a 2001 S60 T5 auto, then a 1996 855 T5 Auto which was pre-modded by the previous owner, then a 2005 S60 T5 Manual (the facelift one with all the "R" bits on it but the bulletproof 2.4 T5 engine) which I planned to mod but never got round to. I have had tons of other cars too, I don't only buy Volvos wink

This one is a pretty rare car, S70R manual which (for a change smile ) has a fair few mods. Only had it a couple of months but I think it's the best one I've had yet. The front diff makes a really big difference to how it puts the power down but it still has the rawness of the earlier T5's which I absolutely love.

Actually, I'll be honest; I don't.

It's just that there seems to be one or two additions under your bonnet that don't look look like a nice man in a factory put there.

Lol, there's quite a few bits in there that weren't fitted in the Special Vehicles Garage in Gothenburg wink

Admittedly, I made a special effort for the Haynes Swedish day. 5 weeks before that pic was taken at the show, the engine bay looked like this...

It's not just the outside that's had some attention, the plod interior was not only horrible but knackered too so £55.50 from my local scrappie saw a full leather interior and I added carbon trims to finish it all off smile

Thank you sir smile

The door cards are a hybrid of the original outer and leather inner sections and carbon trim. Utter pig of a job but created a contrast and theme throughout the car that lets me get away with light seats and dark carpets and plastics.

There's LED lighting in there too... and not the chav-blue crap, white smile
