Very nice smile

There were 7 V70 T5 SE cars registered new in 2003 for plod service. I've found photos of all but mine grrr. 3 have vanished (probably scrapped) one is a response car for a recovery firm in Reading, one is in a right state and lives in Dorset somewhere and another pops up from time to time on fleabay, in varying states of repair.

I have a side - on pic that could possibly be mine but have no way of confirming frown

There's a small reward for anybody who can find a pic of mine in uniform smile

Thanks PS. There is a better pic of the TFT display on my 'Readers Cars' thread.

I'll try and post a YouTube clip of it as well smile

We had one of these V40 XCs for a few days as a loaner when ours went in to have some niggles sorted.

The service manager was so proud of the dashboard feature it was the first thing he explained. laugh

This had the D2 engine and in that little car it shifted.

Colour was this bronze. Wouldn't be my choice but it wasn't so bad.

If only T6 and manual was an option on the newer models frown

Don't get me wrong, the T6 V70/S60 is quick but they're so refined, you don't get the kick-up-the-bum when the turbo spools up. Ant the V70T6 is about 2000Kg and if you spec them up with all the toys....

£54000!

As I've said, it's ALL about the interior! I don't really care about the outside. There are plenty of toys to play with, although I do feel like a fraud when setting it to 'Performance' mode, maybe on a Polestar, but not a D2!

I wasn't gonna go into the engine lol. I can't really say much as I drive a Starlet 1.3 auto during the week. The T5 is my plaything.
The V40 isn't a bad looking car, it bares a striking resemblance to the new focus (duuh - can't imagine why) but the focus has a frighteningly cheap interior and doesn't have the Volvo seats, sexy display, comfort, etc. etc. etc...

I drove the T5 for the first time in 2 weeks this morning smilesmilesmile

BWWAAAAARRRRR - STTSSSSS - BOOWWAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRR - STTTSSSSSS

Big grins smile

My 850R auto, have a manual one in the same colour though (tan inside)... Wonderful cars smile
First time on this site, have an 850 Estate, 2.5 petrol automatic , did 35k miles from 61k. No problem and would really go for ever. Unfortunately it needs its first exhaust and it is gong to cost £750.00. I will have to retire it with saddens. For the last for year have done two runs a year to Berlin and Salsburg at average 90 miles. It however 19 year old!

If there was one brand new I would buy it with eyes closed!
