XC60 or XC70 ?

So looking to upgrade my current v50 and looking at either an xc60 or xc70 approx. 3yo with around 40k-50k miles. Anyone got any advice on which would be the better buy? I'm doing around 20k miles per year.

Well, the 70 is a lot bigger but the 60 is taller and (some say) better looking (not me tho).
It depends what you're after. The sheer size and weight of the 70 will mean it won't be as good on fuel but a remapped D5 goes like a stabbed rat and if you can cope with £815 road tax, there's the T6

My money would go on an XC70 as for me the current crop of S60, V60 and XC 60 are too much like poorly drawn Kia for my eyes.

The current V70 shape is classic, maybe classy even and wont look terribly dated in a year or two when all these 'of the moment' over sculpted offerings from many manufacturers will look very dated indeed.

VW/Audi stuff currently seems to me much more classy....in fact Volvo's ex Audi man, Thomas Ingenlath, looks to be penning some more elegant 'show' cars for Volvo apparently indicating the design direction of Volvos to come......

Honestly don't bother with Ex-Plod.

That was the advice given to me by a serving traffic officer when I was looking (briefly) at one.
