As the title suggests - my 2007 V70 2.4D auto (chipped to 210 bhp) is currently on 111k. I'm planning to run the car until it dies. My last car ( 530d auto ) died at 170k and had serious issues from 100k onwards. So far the Volvo has needed absolutely nothing apart from regular servicing and a belt change. My BMW was on a recon gearbox ans it's 2nd turbo by this mileage!!!

Is my Volvos reliability so far too good to be true - what is likely to wrong and when????

2007 - isn't that the phase 2 model? I thought the "new shape" one didn't come out until 2008?

Anyhow, if you mean the P2, mine's on 209800 miles, 2003 Ex-Plod, original engine, turbo, gearbox, 2nd clutch, I've changed/upgraded pretty much everything else.

There ya go - phase 2 on a 2008 plate and phase 3 on a 2007 plate.

The world is a strange enough place and now volvo has developed time travel!

And what you will often find is that the late Phase 2 is worth more than the early Phase 3.

'58 Phase 3 on 118,000 here. It's new to me but seems OK over the last 2500 miles.

10 plate D5 on 116k here and still feels rock solid. Belts done at 108k, this one should pass 200k without missing a beat.

Starting to look for a replacement but they can be rare for my needs.
Must be one owner/FVSH/D5/Manual/SE Lux or above and cheap! smile

10 plate D5 as well. Only on 68,000 miles. Going up at nearly 30,000 a year.

Still solid and pulling well.

Mine is a late reg (Sept 07) P2 D5 SE Sport. Current mileage 341,000 and rising! To be honest it is getting a bit tired now!! Car has been brilliant but I am sure the DPF is causing trouble again. I am sure overfuelling due to regeneration (successful or not) seems to contaminate the oil causing engine wear!! Seems to destroy expensive long life oil in a few thousand miles! It is starting to sound a bit noisy now and use some oil unfortunately! Looks like will soon be time to pension the poor old motor off!!

Yes bloody good by all accounts!! Sure it would go for plenty more if it wasn't for the bloody DPF!!! The rest of the car has stood up to it really well. Still spruces up nicely!! Leather is still very good considering the amount of people in and out. The car is actually licensed as a taxi so does some local work but quite a few airport runs!! To look at it or travel in it you would not believe the mileage!! New customers who notice the miles always comment how well the car runs and how comfortable it is! That is why I am having another!!

What's the mileage on the replacement box and engine though Don?
I reckon it doesn't count when it ends-up like Trigger's broom haha
