....but if you don't buy a T5, it looks (on paper at least) that the 2.0T has decent performance. And this is Pistonheads, after all.

Yeah, I wasnt sure - which is why I put 'on paper'. The performance of the 2.0T looked better than the normally aspirated 2.4 IIRC.

But you're right....the only sensible answer is T5.

Yeah, the 2.0t has 190bhp iirc and the 2.4 is 140 but the torque is about the same and the NA has the low end power.

But you can't do sod-all to them performance wise lol.

The 2005 facelift saw the canbus speed doubled too but you wouldn't notice any difference unless you were doing work on the electrical system. The radios are supposed to be interchangeable on the facelift models without recoding them.
They're also interchangeable on the pre-2005 if they're the same model year. Put a 2004 into another 2004 and it will usually work fine including the steering wheel controls. If they're different they'll still work, but the steering wheel controls won't and the illumination can be missing.

2.5T is that the R or an old XC70?

Can't see the XC doing 60 in 6.6 lol

ant the cost of replacing the Haldex system if you launch one of those things too often...

That'll explain it then. It must be pushing some serious boost through that little turbo (12t?) to make a 0-60 like that lol. Great bottom end torque from those 2.5 lpt engines when they're mapped.

I must do a 0-60 with mine sometime, I know it does 60-100 in 7.2 which is nice biggrin
