Just been to look at a 54 plate xc90 D5 auto. 85k on the clock with full service history. I found that when the car was in park I could still turn the prop shaft. Is this normal or a problem in the drive train. The front tyres looked more worn than the rears but they might just be newer I suppose.
Any advice welcome
Thanks
Barrie

Don't know about the propshaft bit but one thing I do know is that the front tyres do wear more than the rears. Remember the 4wd system is split 90% to the front - 10% rear until needed, which is sensed by the haldex system. Therefore the front tyres do most of the work...as well as carrying more weight than the rears due to the engine etc.

If this bevel gear is replaced, how long before the problem re-occurs. As I understand on this particular vehicle it been replace before under warranty.
