Quick question before I ship it off the the garage! Phase 2 v70 T5 ex plod slight brake squeeking when I pull off after putting handbrake on and a rumble at 60-70 for a minute or two then it stops and all is normal till I stop and put the handbrake on again. If I don't put the handbrake on and leave it in gear it seems fine. Handbrake sticking? Also Is there a quick and easy DIY solution? Cheers.

Don't know about your specific problem, but the handbrake is a drum that's part of the rear disk assembly. It's not too difficult to get them off and replace the brake shoes, although it depends on your personal competence or desire to do DIY.

I suspect that unless you get the drum/disk's off, you won't know what's going on. Might be that new shoes and retaining springs are needed, along with a good check/adjustment/lubrication of the actuating mechanism.

Mine needed a new handbrake cable on the offside for the last MOT and the nearside one has now seized a year later so it could be those.

Not expensive just a little bit fiddly to fit.
