Old S60 question

Does the cruise control facility have a speed limiter? My old CLK did. You set it to 30 and then mash the loud pedal, as soon as you hit 30 it no longer accelerates.

Pretty sure the answer is no.

My 2005 S60R certainly doesn't.

Nope it doesn't. Only slows down with engine speed.

It's funny that there's nothing at all. Volvo seem to think of everything eg the strip across the top because winter sun is lower so could catch a driver out. A 3rd gen Micra I had as a courtesy car had a little beep when you went over a certain speed (you could set it) - not as good as a hard limiter but still useful.

My CLK was 2001, my S60 is younger.

My 2004 S60 only has cruise control. There's no speed limiter function.

Well, it's for those instances where I am constantly slowing down and accelerating in moderate traffic.
