How to make yourself look stupid!

Last week I bought a 2012 V60 Ocean Race from the auctions, it was listed as having a damaged centre console and when I got to see it I was amazed at how scored it was.
Located one on eBay and today I spent half an hour fitting it, looked mint when done and I was so proud I went upstairs to show my manager how clever I was and how damaged the old one was.

Some of you may be ahead of me here but I was shocked when my manager pointed out that he preferred the old console with the mast and Rigging 'Graphics'.
Yes, it was a lovely arty yacht rigging design laid on to the plastic!
Still prefer the plain one though but Mrs Aprisa has done an about turn and decided it ws nice after all and I should put it back to original.
Replace in hast etc......
