Plays fine, changes tracks fine, turns on and off fine. Just the display is... funky.

Any thoughts? (Apart from extract all paid-for CDs!)

Thats a display refresh problem
The refresh rate looks too low
The only obvious thing to do is remove, disassemble and inspect the display

If the display has any connectors, remove, clean with contact cleaner and reassemble

If you see any spilt coca cola, coffee stains etc, clean with board cleaner and reassemble and test

If no joy, you need to Repair or Replace - repair needs to be done by someone with experience.

Thanks for the detailed reply. It appears to have fixed itself while I was browsing online for a replacement headunit and surround!!
