£550 bargain barge Volvo S80

Hi guys. Don't know if anyone will read this or be even remotely interested but thought i'd share anyway!!
Pictured above is my latest bargain. Bought as seen from a dealer for £550. About 174k on the clock but can't be sure as the dash doesn't currently work... first on my list of jobs.
So far I have just changed the wipers for bosch aerotwin and had it washed. Better pics to follow.
Should be picking up some 17 inch volvo alloys to replace the 16's. These are also costing less with new tyres on than it is for two premium front boots which it needs to give it a bit more stance and a sportier (for a barge) look. Was meant to be a run around but I love it and plan on doing a few niggly jobs then maybe uprate the odd bit here and there! Never done a thread so thought i'd use this to share hints and tips and hopefully provide some boredom reading!

Bit more history- needed a new car as my x-trail was written off. (Fantastic utility car by the way) Sadly only me and a muddy field involved. Oh well... with the money left over I have also purchased a halfords proffessional socket set. Nice shiny man tools much to Mrs C's dismay!!

Sorry for the delay.... car is running great.
Need to add pics with new wheels but they have transformed the feel and it handles ok for a barge.
Made a small list of bits to do, should be sending the dash unit off this week for a refurb, then i'll see what horrors await on the warning light front and find out the actual mileage!!!

GTechniq C4 is awesome and lasts about 18 months on one application. A little 30ml bottle costs about £25 but enough to do your whole car trim twice.
Very faded black plastic that has turned white, can be rubbed down with 1200 wet and dry used wet with a drop of fairy liquid in the water. The old dry plastic will rub off like a grey scum, leaving the good plastic underneath and super smooth. Then when dry, wipe over with meths and wipe on the C4. the faded trim will be jet black and will last. Will totally transform the looks of the car
All black trim on my V40 having been treated with C4 still good 12 months after application. It was very faded and grey when I bought it.
'er indoors, Cooper was treated this summer, again all black trim was faded when we bought it. It took one complete bottle to give it two coats, but there are acres of black plastic trim all round.
