I’ve just purchased (pick it up in a week) a 70 plate S60 T5 Inscription Plus. Really not sure why the saloon didn’t sell well as it’s a very handsome looking car IMHO. SUVs are nice but really don't drive as well as a decent saloon/ estate.

Got the blond leather interior and combined with just how comfortable the thing is to drive it’s a lovely place to be. It’s not as taut as a 3 series but that’s not what I was after. It also has pretty much every gadget I’d need bar adaptive cruise.

Looked at a 3 series touring (same year) and a 420 Gran Coupe (69 plate) but they just didn’t feel as solid or comfy to drive.

I’d have preferred the V60 but in the spec, age and deal I got I’m more than happy with the S.

No adaptive cruise? I thought you would have had Volvo Pilot assist as standard on the Inscription. Is that not the case?

Lovely car.
Our 2020 V60 cross country didn't have adaptive cruise, it was an extra in a pack along with the head up display and surround camera, IIRC, an extra £4k and the head up display deleted the heated windscreen.

Our 2024 MY V60 Cross Country Ultimate does have adaptive cruise.

That's what I was told when I asked. A rare option given the price and I wouldn't be bothered about the HUD or surround camera.
It has normal cruise though which will suffice and in the grand scheme of things is a small detail.

Thats the view we took when we ordered the 2020 car.

They are very nice cars indeed. Not sports cars, but very limo like.

We have adaptive cruise control, headed screen and seats, but not the camera or hud.
